Through the Family Stability Program, Project Hope has now been able to place a total of six families into permanent, affordable housing. At the same time, the Family Assistance Program was able to keep five families housed through short-term rental assistance and eviction prevention. We also were able to provide more than two dozen services for both food and hygiene products for the families of our students and other local families in challenging situations. We are very excited about the ongoing development of our basic needs services, and it is a credit to our supporters that we can afford these struggling families access to these items.
One of the families we were able to assist in obtaining permanent housing is featured in the “My Life” video found on ProjectHopeAlliance.org. Project Hope Alliance cannot be more excited about how this example of community support and partnerships coupled with a solutions-oriented housing program like Family Stability was able to take a family in a very difficult, unstable and transient situation and give them and their child a consistent roof over their heads and a safe place to be. In short, for the first time in many years, they now have a home.
