5 Easy Ways To Give Back

Giving back is now simpler than ever. You can do good while you do your everyday shopping. Gift cards are an impactful, cherished way to support our kids and families, and Amazon, Ralphs, Rite Aid, and Charity Charge all have easy ways that allow you to donate a percentage of your purchase or round up for charity. Here are five effortless ways to give the gift of hope and join us in ending the cycle of homelessness, one child at a time.

Campaign Spotlight: Tim & Belinda

When Tim and Belinda celebrated their wedding, they honored their love for one another—and their love #forthekids. We are enormously grateful for this beautiful couple, who dedicated their wedding day to Project Hope Alliance. In lieu of a traditional registry, they asked their guests to bring gift cards. These generous gifts will be distributed to the families we serve, and through these gifts, each and every extraordinary guest is helping us end the cycle of homelessness, one child at a time.

1) Donate Gift Cards

The families and Promotor Pathway Program students we serve are in need of clothing, shoes, and nourishment. We are currently accepting gift cards to Target, Walmart, Payless, Ralphs, Vons, and Stater Bros.

You can even dedicate your wedding for the kids! In lieu of gifts, ask your guests to bring gift cards. We will distribute them to the grateful, hardworking families we serve. With your donations, they will be able to provide their children with necessities like food, clothing, and school supplies.

2) AmazonSmile

"AmazonSmile is a simple and automatic way for you to support your favorite charitable organization every time you shop, at no cost to you." Simply shop via our unique AmazonSmile link: https://smile.amazon.com/ch/75-3099628. Instead of searching for Project Hope Alliance, you will automatically be asked if you want to support us—and you will only have to do this once. There are no changes in cost or product availability when you shop through AmazonSmile; the only difference is that Amazon will donate 0.5% of the price of your eligible purchases to the charitable organization of your choice. Whenever you shop on Amazon, remember to shop via AmazonSmile to continue donating.

3) Ralphs

Another company that has agreed to donate a percentage of your purchases to charity is Ralphs. To get started, register your Ralphs Rewards Card online if you haven't already, then link your card to Project Hope Alliance by enrolling via Ralphs Community Contributions Program. Now when you shop for groceries, all you have to do is use your Ralphs Rewards Card, and a percentage of your purchases will be donated to our mission. It's very easy and at no extra cost to you.

4) Rite Aid

Rite Aid also contributes to community organizations through KidCents. They "partner with nonprofit kid-focused organizations in our local communities that are committed to helping improve the health and well-being of children." Wellness+ with Plenti members are able to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar, and their change is donated to a selected organization like Project Hope Alliance. Signing up for KidCents and choosing Project Hope Alliance only takes a few minutes online. You can read more about how the Rite Aid Foundation is making a difference for children on their website.

5) Charity Charge

Charity Charge is a credit card that lets you use your rewards for good. With every purchase, 1% is donated to your charity of choice. 1% of every transaction could help Project Hope Alliance end the cycle of homelessness, one child at a time. There is no annual fee, and the card comes with all of the great benefits of a World Mastercard. Apply online, and be sure to select Project Hope Alliance as your favorite nonprofit.

These companies are making it so simple for you to give back to your community. It only takes a few minutes of your day to sign up. Why not sign up for all four?
