Our mission of ending the cycle of homelessness, one child at a time, is made possible by our amazing community—including our corporate partners. On Thursday, August 17, our friends at Zillow donated their time and hearts to organizing our new community pantry and volunteer event space. We are beyond grateful for their generosity!
Located downstairs in the same building as our existing headquarters, the 320-square-foot unit serves as our new hub for food and hygiene distribution to our families, as well as volunteering opportunities. This expansion at 1954 Placentia Avenue will allow us to better serve our children, youth, and families who frequent our office.
Since 2012, we have moved more than 850 children and parents out of homelessness and into safe, stable homes. One of the services offered to our families through our core Family Stability Program is access to our pantry. Empowered with food security, families are able to prioritize expenses like rent and utilities. With nourished bodies and minds, children are prepared to excel in the classroom.
