1) WHAT IS YOUR WHY?

My why is because I know how important a stable support system is, especially for a child.

2) WHAT COMPONENT OF BRIGHT START DO YOU MOST ENJOY WITH YOUR MENTEE?

Reading all of the different stories and helping my mentee learn new words.

3) FAVORITE MENTORING MOMENT TO DATE?

My favorite moment to date is when my mentee and I learned and performed the famous Abbott and Costello "Who's on First?" comedy routine for his family.

4) IN WHAT WAYS HAS MENTORING IMPACTED YOUR LIFE?

Mentoring has made my day-to-day so much brighter. Having the ability to connect with a child in a meaningful way on a weekly basis has definitely enriched my life. I have learned so many things from my mentee. Anything from the fact that otters clean their food all the way to how to be a strong, powerful role model for your family—even though it can be very challenging sometimes. I had no idea how much I could take away from someone who is a third of my age.

5) WHO ARE YOU WHEN YOU'RE NOT CHANGING THE LIVES OF OUR YOUNG LEARNERS?

I enjoy playing and watching sports, traveling, and anything to do with the ocean.
