Whole Foods Orange County Raises Nearly $22,000 For Project Hope Alliance In One Day!

The numbers are in for Whole Foods Market Orange County's Community Giving Day and weeklong food drive for Project Hope Alliance!

  • $21,860.21 on Community Giving Day

  • 400+ pounds of food

Today, our hearts swelled with gratitude as we graciously accepted the generous check from Whole Foods Market of Orange County. We are endlessly grateful for their extraordinary partnership and support, and for the overwhelming generosity of our community. Thank you for giving the gift of hope for the kids! Together, we are ending the cycle of homelessness, one child at a time.

Kicking off on Sunday, June 19, the food drive invited shoppers at all seven Whole Foods Orange County locations—Brea, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Laguna Beach, Laguna Niguel, Newport Beach, and Tustin—to purchase items from our wish list and drop them into our food drive barrels at the store. The drive lasted through Sunday, June 25, and will help nourish the working homeless families, children, and youth we serve.

In the midst of the drive, Community Giving Day on Thursday, June 22, invited shoppers at all seven locations to shop in support of Project Hope Alliance. The local market chain generously donated 5% of net sales to our mission and will help fuel our dynamic Family Stability and Education programs.

Special thanks to the following Whole Foods partners who went above and beyond by donating food to our Community Pantry: Crispy Green, Cabo Chips, KIND Snacks, Justin's, and NuttZo.

Since 2012, Project Hope Alliance has moved more than 850 children and parents out of homelessness, and we've done so with extraordinary corporate partnerships like our collaboration with Whole Foods Market of Orange County.
