Project Hope Alliance's 4th Annual Anti Gala on Sunday, May 7, invites our community to drink and dine to end homelessness, and we are extremely excited to announce Jakob Dylan of The Wallflowers as our headlining performer. The Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter will set the beat for the charitable evening by gracing the stage in an intimate acoustic set.
Set against the backdrop of our custom-tailored world at Venue by Three Petals in Huntington Beach, the Anti Gala marks our biggest and best fundraising celebration of the year.
The whimsical night will fuel our mission of ending the cycle of homelessness, one child at a time, via a two-generational approach utilizing innovative, collaborative re-housing and education programs. Additional entertainment for the elegant evening includes one-of-a-kind live and silent auctions, creative cuisine, a special ceremony honoring our 2017 Catalyst of Hope, and more.
Dylan, the son of folk rock singer-songwriter Bob Dylan, rose to fame as the lead singer of The Wallflowers, a two-time Grammy Award-winning Los Angeles-based rock band that produced hit singles like "One Headlight" and "6th Avenue Heartache." The revered singer-songwriter went on to pursue a successful solo career, including features on several film and television soundtracks; collaborations with other notable singers and musicians like Dave Matthews and Cat Power; and a The Wallflowers reunion that led to an arena tour opening for Eric Clapton.
The husband and father of four also advocates for diabetes, Crohn's, and colitis awareness, and was awarded "Father of the Year" by the American Diabetes Association in 2014.
