We are excited and honored to announce that we have been selected as a partner of MENTOR's Mentoring Connector, the only national database of mentoring opportunities! This incredible partnership will help Project Hope Alliance recruit more volunteer mentors and more deeply connect with the community.
To be approved as a MENTOR partner, organization's must meet MENTOR's ethical standards and qualifications for effective youth mentoring. Our innovative Bright Start Pilot Program passed with flying colors.
Bright Start supports elementary-age children with take-home laptops equipped with built-in WiFi, academic curriculum, and inspirational curriculum; weekly mentor support; and monthly Collective "Imagine It" Dinners that engage parents.
MENTOR partners nationally with the National Basketball Association (NBA), Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and the White House's My Brother's Keeper (MBK) Success Mentors Initiative, described as "the nation's first-ever effort to reach and support our nation's highest-risk students by scaling an evidence-based, data-driven mentor model through our schools."
Here at Project Hope Alliance, we also apply evidence-based, data-driven mentor models to our education programs, which are designed to end the cycle of intergenerational homelessness, one child at a time.
