Does Your Employer Match Your Donation?

Did you know that more than 15 million people work for companies with matching gift programs? These individuals have the unique opportunity to make an even bigger impact through their charitable donations by requesting that their employer match their gift. While an estimated $2-3 billion is donated through matching gift programs annually, there is still an estimated $6-10 billion in matching gift funds that goes unclaimed every year.

Why not take advantage of these funds to help us end the cycle of homelessness? The following major companies all offer matching gift programs:

When donating to Project Hope Alliance online, simply check the box asking, "Would you like your employer to match?" and select your employer from the list. If your workplace is not on the list, you have the option to type it in. Our secure donation platform, Classy, simplifies the process and emails easy-to-follow instructions to complete the employer gift matching request, also known as "DonateDouble."

If donating by check and your company is eligible, first request a matching gift form from your employer, then submit the completed and signed document with your gift. We'll take care of the rest.

The impact of your gift to Project Hope Alliance may be doubled—or even tripled—to provide more families with stable homes and more children with exceptional educations.
