It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Project Hope Alliance—thanks to the overflowing generosity of our incredible community! From bountiful gift donations to gift wrapping "elves," Team Kid has embraced giving season with open arms and an abundance of hope.
The days have grown increasingly merry and bright thanks to our 33 outstanding holiday gift drive donors! In place of our Thanksgiving bundles arrived hundreds of holiday presents for the kids. In total, we provided gifts for 159 kids, ages baby through 19.
Thanks to our enduring community partner Orange County United Way, we connected with FirstService Residential, whose Adopt-A-Family sponsorship program provided 25 kids with presents—including a brand new MacBook Air for one of our dedicated college hopefuls!
Presents for the kids would not have been possible without the support of our wonderful donors, including the following companies: Trace3, Solarflare, Hines, Michelman & Robinson, LLP, Pepper Hamilton LLP, Orange County Women's Chorus, Peoples Bank, Pacific Life Foundation, Newport-Mesa Unified School District Seamless Transition Enrichment Program (NMUSD STEP), and Wisconsin Alumni Association.
To help fuel giving season at PHA, a phenomenal group of Second Saturday volunteers gathered at our office to wrap presents, make snack bags, decorate for the holidays, and stock our Community Pantry. We are endlessly grateful for each and every individual who attended and helped bring hope for the holidays. Stepping into Santa's Workshop each day warms Team Kids' hearts, and makes for a very merry giving season. View photos of the fun here.
The most wonderful time of the year culminated in two PHA holiday parties, where we celebrated the holidays with our amazing kids and families.
Other community partners who are bringing hope for the holidays include SOCO & The OC Mix, who are hosting numerous complimentary gift-wrapping events with donations benefiting PHA; OC Women's Chorus, who highlighted our mission during their December program; Mothers & Daughters for Multiple Causes, who made and sold holiday goodies to benefit our Promotor Pathway Program; and The Love Yourself Syndicate and The Feels, who are collecting donations for PHA at their upcoming holiday soiree.
Because of our kindhearted community, 159 kids will wake up on Christmas morning to presents under their tree.
From the bottom of our swelling hearts, thank you for giving the gift of hope for the holidays.
