Welcome Our New Director of Youth & Family Stability Tiffany Mitchell

We are excited to announce the appointment of Tiffany Mitchell, Psy.D., as our new Director of Youth & Family Stability at Project Hope Alliance.

Prior to joining Team Kid, Mitchell worked with Mercy House, Orange County Department of Education, Sovereign Health, and Victor Community Support Services—where she was instrumental in the development of a program that worked with at-risk youth suffering from trauma, mental illness, and developmental disabilities.

With nearly 10 years of experience working in the Southern California nonprofit community, I have served individuals and families struggling with homelessness and have witnessed the social, emotional, and academic effects of homelessness firsthand. Project Hope Alliance is developing innovative housing and education programs to meet the unique needs of the Orange County homeless community. My experience and education, paired with my ability to nurture strong relationships with stakeholders, will allow me to further create an outlet for children to engage in their learning experience regardless of their financial circumstances.
— Dr. Mitchell

Dr. Mitchell's experience in all aspects of social services, her Doctor of Psychology in Applied Clinical Psychology, and her Master's of Science in Counseling make her uniquely qualified to enhance and expand Project Hope Alliance's human services.

Tiffany’s career and education show an incredible commitment to advocating for and providing comprehensive support programs to low-income and under-resourced youth and families. Her expertise has already proven to be an incredible asset to our team as we enhance our programs to better serve Orange County families.
— Jennifer Friend, CEO of Project Hope Alliance

Since 2012, Project Hope Alliance has ended the cycle of homelessness for more than 700 children and parents in Orange County. With the help of our rapid rehousing Family Stability Program, more than 77% of these families achieve financial independence within a year of moving into their new home. Our groundbreaking academic support programs  are a significant part of this commitment, reaching homeless or previously homeless students in more than 90 schools in 26 cities throughout Orange County.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Mitchell to Team Kid.
